Paul and Clay cover a lot of topics on this Spring edition of “The Cards & Cats Countdown.” First up for conversation is the Derby City Classic, the premier high school basketball event in Louisville that takes place every year in Freedom Hall. Clay attended the game and gives his take on UK’s Dominique Hawkins and Derek Willis, UofL’s Anton Gill and IU’s Troy Williams.
The talk then shifts to football as Paul discusses the impact of having 50,000+ fans show up for Kentucky’s Spring football game. Stoops and company used the event to reel in another 4-star 2014 commitment in Ohio running back Mikel Horton. We also briefly dish about Teddy Bridgewater’s performance at the Louisville Spring game.
Then the discussions shifts to the NBA draft, who is staying and who is going and where UK center Nerlens Noel would best fit in. The guys conclude the show with a discussion of the Boston bombings and how the country rallied around the BPD and watched the entire manhunt unfold.
It’s all here on this feature-filled edition of “The Cards & Cats Countdown”!
