Pegasus Sports Network broadcasts....

Wednesday, January 22nd, 2014 -
The South Oldham Lady Dragons travel to Goshen, KY to tangle with the North Oldham Lady Mustangs in a 29th District battle.    Defending 29th District champion South Oldham is 0-1 in District seeding play; this will be the first district game of the year for North.   South holds a commanding 14-1 all-time lead in the series, with North's only win coming on 12/13/2005 by a score of 38-35.   South is led by senior center Emma Sedoris, averaging a double-double at 11 points / 10 rebounds a contest.   North is led by Cat Fiorito, who leads the Lady Mustangs in scoring at 13.9 ppg and rebounds at 5.2.     South comes into the game 4-11 on the season; North was 5-5 heading into Monday's game versus Presentation.   Broadcast time is 7 pm.

Thursday, January 23rd, 2014 - The North Oldham Mustangs travel to Buckner, KY to play the Oldham County Colonels.   This will be the second in a series of four very tough opponents for the Mustangs this week; they play a very dangerous Anderson County team on the road Tuesday, before going on the road to play Oldham in a 29th district seeding game on Thursday, the first of back-to-back-to-back games that includes Shelby County on Friday and Fern Creek Saturday.   The matchup with Oldham is critically important as both teams still harbor hopes of claiming the district tournament's number one seed.   This will be North's first district seeding game; they hold their future in their own hands.   Oldham's path to the #1 seed is a bit more complicated; if Oldham beats North and North subsequently defeats South Oldham and Trimble Co., the #1 seed would go to the team that has the highest Litkenhous rating (currently South, but narrowly).   Broadcast time is 7 pm.

Friday, January 24th, 2014 - After playing the team that has won more 8th Region titles than any other (Oldham County) on Thursday, the Mustangs play the team that holds the second most on Friday when Shelby County comes to North Oldham HS.   Although the Rockets are just 6-11 coming into the game, that is deceiving.   Shelby is 5-1 since the New Year, The Rockets have played a brutal schedule, including Collins (lost by 2), South Oldham, Bullitt East, Thomas Nelson (their only loss of 2014, by just 3 points), Iroquois, and Fern Creek.   Broadcast time is 7 pm.
