Saint Xavier takes pride in the athletic opportunities that are available for its students. Nearly 70% of the total St. X enrollment participated in interscholastic athletics as a player, manager, or trainer during the past school year. Under the umbrella of the Kentucky High School Athletic Association (KHSAA), Saint Xavier athletic teams compete for State Championships in Cross Country, Football, Golf, Soccer, Basketball, Bowling, Swimming & Diving, Wrestling, Baseball, Bass Fishing, Tennis, and Track & Field. In addition, Saint Xavier offers club sport opportunities in Ice Hockey, Lacrosse, Powerlifting, Rugby, and Volleyball, along with an extensive intramural program.
